Shape how gain behaves, not just how much of it there is.
Why should you let someone else define your sound? Most overdrives lock you into a single flavour of clipping. The Empress Drive gives you control over the harmonic structure and gain behaviour that define how an overdrive responds to your instrument, your picking, and your amp.

Designed for musicians who are never satisfied with just one style of overdrive, the Empress Drive starts with a rich, amp-like clipping circuit and then provides the tools to shape it into something uniquely their own.

    Thoughtful signal order.
Every feature in the Empress Drive was deliberately placed to give players deep control over their overdrive sound. At the heart of it all is a sweepable midrange EQ placed before the overdrive stage, allowing you to control which frequencies push the circuit into saturation. This changes how the overdrive responds, making it possible to dial in everything from articulate edge-of-breakup tones to looser, fuzz-like drive textures with just a few adjustments.

A flexible boost section adds up to 30dB of boost and can be placed before or after the overdrive stage. In pre-overdrive mode it increases saturation and changes the feel of the circuit. In post-overdrive mode it provides a volume lift for solos or pushes the front end of an amp harder.

A clean mix control preserves clarity and articulation, allowing guitar pick attack and bass low end to be blended back into the signal. Active bass and treble shelving EQ provide precise tone shaping after the mix stage.

A noise gate for noise gate deniers.
Pickups and overdrives often force a tradeoff between gain and noise. The Empress Drive removes that tension with an adaptive noise gate designed specifically for this circuit, letting through your guitar’s sustain and touch sensitivity while eliminating unwanted hum.

    All-in-one gain station.
With its all-analog signal path and transparent buffered bypass, the Empress Drive delivers expressive, shapable overdrive while combining boost, EQ, noise control, and gain shaping in a single compact pedal.

    Features

    All-Analog Gain Architecture
Delivers rich, tube-like overdrive with natural compression and dynamic response.

    Pre-Overdrive Mid Shaping
A sweepable midrange EQ sits before the overdrive stage, letting you control which frequencies drive the circuit into saturation.

    Flexible Boost Routing
Up to +30dB of clean boost can be placed before or after the overdrive stage for either added saturation or a volume lift.

    Clean Mix Control
Blend your clean signal with the driven signal to retain clarity, articulation, and low-end definition.

    Active Bass and Treble EQ
Powerful shelving filters allow precise tone shaping after the mix stage without upsetting the balance of clean and driven signals.

    Adaptive Noise Gate
Keeps higher gain settings tight and controlled while preserving sustain and touch sensitivity.

    Analog Clipping Meter
Provides visual feedback for gain staging so you can easily see how hard the circuit is being driven.

    High Headroom Design
Handles strong signals without unwanted clipping, keeping the overdrive clear and responsive.

    Buffered Bypass
Maintains signal integrity across long cable runs andcomplex pedalboards.

    Compact Size
Enclosure measures approx. 2.5” x 4.8” x 2.6” with top jacks to fit easily on any pedalboard.
