Continuing the design legacy of our original Absolute Series, these new drums combines the projection and expressive capability of all-maple shells with the beautiful grain of maple, and are available at an economical price.

Style Independent Versatility
Yamaha’s Tour Custom series offers a versatile range of drum shells suitable for any playing technique or genre. The model range includes tom sizes from 8" to 13", floor toms in 14" and 16", bass drums spanning from 18" to 22", and snare drums measuring 14"x5.5" and 14"x6.5".

Yamaha's engineers have managed to create a package combining high playability and sound quality that meets the expectations of top professionals, while being delivered with a mid-range price tag.

All Maple Shell (6ply-5.6mm / 45 degree bearing edge)
All-maple shells give Tour Custom drums their warm, bright tone. These shells are designed with a 6 ply-5.6 mm / 45 degree bearing edge that adds the tonal depth ,quick responce and provides just the right amount of sustain.

Tour Custom drums sound great and play well in any musical style.

Beautiful Satin Color Finish
Our Tour Custom series features an exclusive satin lacquer finish, resulting in a beautiful color toning merged with an elegant shiny surface. Compared to common gloss finish, the extra thin coating on the Tour Custom shells maximizes the resonance of the carefully selected maple wood.

Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System - Y.E.S.S
YESS mounts are designed to minimize contact between the shell and the mount to deliver a wider dynamic range and longer sustain.

Inverse Dyna Hoop (2.3mm)
The 2.3mm inverse dyna hoop bends the tip inward to adjust overtones while playing. This gives a tighter sound making the shell’s original tone stand out.

Absolute Lugs
Absolute Lugs firmly secure to the shell with a single bolt thus minimizing the number of holes in the shell. This sophisticated design reduces surface contact allowing the shell to resonate freely. Their durable design also accommodates high-tension tuning. Absolute lugs also feature an insertion plate inside of the lug, which acts as a locking mechanism to prevent tuning bolts from loosening.
